SOUTH HAVEN SOUTH PIER LIGHT

South Haven South Pier Light. June 25, 2011.

Schooner sailing near the Pier Light. June 25, 2011.
Pictures were taken with a Canon EOS D-SLR camera, with an Canon 28-105 wide angel lens. I also used a Hoya Polarizing filter. It was a very sunny day.
Brief History
The South Haven South Pier Light is mounted at the end of a concrete pier. The light was originally built in 1872, and was rebuilt years later. There is a steel catwalk that allowed lighthouse keepers access to the light, during high waves. The light is constructed of steel.
