The Port Aux Barques Lighthouse and Harbor Beach Light was taken with a Canon EOS D-SLR camera, with an Canon 100-300 Ultrasonic zoom lens and Hoya polarizer (except Port Aux Barques Lighthouse pictures dated June of 2007). The Port Aux Barques Lighthouse picture dated June of 2007, was taken with an Olympus SP-310 digital camera. .
BRIEF HISTORY
The Port Aux Barques Lighthouse is located north of Port Hope. This lighthouse was built in 1876, is 89 feet tall and is active. Pointe Aux Barques, means point of the boats. Harbor Beach Light was built in 1875 and stands about 4 stories high. A fog building used to be next to light. The light is located south of Port Hope.
