BRIEF HISTORY
The Port Aux Barques Lighthouse is located north of Port Hope. This lighthouse was built in 1876, is 89 feet tall and is active. Pointe Aux Barques, means point of the boats. Port Sanilac Lighthouse was built in 1886, the tower is 59 feet tall, and the lighthouse is active. This lighthouse is a private residence, but you can still view the lighthouse from the shore or pier.
