Brief History
The Crib light stands at about 25 feet tall and is now in a new location. Originally it was located offshore, but the foundation was poor and it fell into the channel. The good people of Cheboygan pulled it offshore and eventually it was located on the west bank of the river mouth. The circular steel tower was built in 1884.
