MICHIGAN IN FOCUS
Photography by Harry Jackson
Established in 2009©

The photographs featured on this website are Lighthouses, Landscapes and Wildlife. The photographs here do not represent all the attractions that can be seen in this state. But I do plan on traveling to other destinations in the near future. This year I am planning on visiting Iosco County (Tawas & Oscoda) and Lenawee County (Tipton). Please see my new webpage, "Lighthouse Visitor", that features the latest news and information on Lighthouses. To view this webpage click on pictures, lighthouses and then lighthouse visitor.
Bordered by four of five Great Lakes, the state is divided by the upper and lower peninsulas by the Straits of Mackinac. The Straits of Mackinac link lakes Huron and Michigan. The upper and lower peninsulas are connected by the Mackinac Bridge. There are 116 lighthouses, 199 waterfalls, 66 mammals, 53 species (combined) of reptiles & amphibians, an overabundance of birds and breathtaking landscapes.
